Archie Held is an internationally recognized artist who has been creating sculpture since the late 1970s. He studied at UCLA for both his graduate and undergraduate degrees and was awarded the Jim Marcelius Memorial Award for Sculpture. His work is large-scale; his style is exquisitely simple and direct. He works primarily in bronze and stainless steel; water is often used as a central element to further complement the elegant designs. He has produced over 500 pieces of artwork and currently employs a team of talented artists and metal fabricators. The appeal of his tranquil creations has led to several private as well as public art commissions. He enjoys working with clients on custom site-specific projects and welcomes collaborations with designers and architects.
His sculpture can be found in many public and private collections throughout the US and Asia, including the René di Rosa Art Preserve in Napa Valley, the Kobe Steel Corporation in Japan, the Four Seasons Hotel, Hong Kong, the City of Los Angeles and the Midway Trading Company in the Philippines.
