Fong Fai’s bold, colorful, abstract paintings flow from the ancient tradition of Chinese brushwork. Strongly influenced by his grandfather who was a painter and calligrapher, Fong went on to study art in the New Asia College and the Hong Kong Academy of Art. Voted as one of the six leading artists in Hong Kong, he owned an art gallery there for several years and taught at the Hong Kong Oriental Arts Institute.
Fong’s artwork has been exhibited at many art galleries in Asia, Australia and North America. When he had invitations to exhibit his paintings in Hawaii and San Francisco, he fell in love with this beautiful country and decided to stay. Today his work continues to appear in exhibitions in US and Asia and can be found in many distinguished public and private collections.
